Reconciliation and Co-Heirs

I feel behind. A million miles behind. While I hoped to write a decent percentage of our Ephesians study. I am reminded that I haven’t lived up to my expectations.

I have been quite exhausted lately. Too tired to do much of anything, kind of exhaustion.

“As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets. And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus (Ephesians 3:4‭-‬6 NLT).”

God’s plan is soo good: to bring Jews and Gentles into a reconciled relationship with God through our Savior Jesus Christ!

And we share equally as God’s heirs.

From Bridgeway Commentary,

“As a Jew he was once proud of his belief that only Jews were God’s people. Even if some of the ‘far off’ Gentiles believed in God, they were still not God’s covenant people in the sense that Jews were.

Now God’s special revelation shows Paul clearly that no longer is this so. Jewish and Gentile believers are united in one body, the church, and as God’s people they share equally in all God’s blessings (3-6).”

We get the amazing privilege of coming together and sharing equally in the Lord’s blessings! Oh friends, this is why we can hold up our heads high and worship our Most Holy God. Look at what He has done for us!

We are His!
We are reconciled to God through our Savior Jesus!
We are so loved!
We are co-heirs with Christ!

. . . And, God doesn’t play favorites among His children. We can worship alongside other Christ followers who have a different background than ourselves – knowing Jesus Christ has paid it in full and has given us brand new life!
