Everything Needed

Hey GO Family!

How are you holding up, in spite of trials and pandemic? Please know whether you are doing well or barely hanging on, that I am here for you. Don’t hesitate to write me on Facebook, Instagram, or send me an email at Gracefully.Overcoming{at Gmail dot com}.

Tonight, I wasn’t sure what I would take this time to meditate on – Scripture wise. I want to share a passage that the Holy Spirit is directing my attention toward.

It is a very timely word from our Risen Lord as we celebrate Good Friday, during our widespread panic and suffering from COVID19. If nothing else, I pray we will focus on 2 Peter 1’s truths:

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. . . (1:3-5a, NLT)

Oh friends, our God has given us every single thing we could ever need. Let us remember that He is our Provider! And, make every effort to have a faithful response to His glorious promises!

Our God is so faithful and has the most perfect track record of taking abundantly good care of us. I know this year is not turning out like we hoped. It feels like the opposite of a wonderful new beginning. Remember our God make each morning brand new and there’s always new opportunities for new beginnings – even now.

Our God is faithful. And the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is alive and well – living in the hearts of His followers.

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you (Romans 8:11).

Keep reminding yourself of the hope you have found in our Savior Jesus Christ!

Even though He has given us all we need for life and godliness. We still are humans, with intense emotions. And, living through any trial is hard. So, how are you doing? Honestly. I am here for you, my friends!
