Ask the Tough Questions

Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” – Psalm 27:7-8, NLT

Few moments ago, I found myself praying for the Lord Jesus to help me get in the Word. My quiet time, since the quarantine begun, is not what it could be. The still voice reminded me that I have to be willing to turn off everything else and simply come to Him.

Anyone else struggling to get in the Word these days? A friend texted me this morning (well, technically, yesterday) to ask me how my quiet time has been going.

Friends, we need to ask ourselves and our Christian friends these questions. To help keep each other encouraged – especially as we are not meeting together physically on a weekly basis. Check in on your friends. Ask them how you can pray for them.

Lately, it honestly seems like whenever I open my Bible to read, meditate, and study – that my health symptoms seem to worsen. But guys and girls, I need to find a way to be courageous and continue opening my Bible. There are many ways to draw near to the Lord, even when we feel so badly on a physical level.

In verse 7, we are given 12 words: “Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me!” We need to keep praying. Continue drawing nearer to the Lord.

We are lovingly pursued by our Mighty God.
We are asked to come before His throne of grace, and to be loved by the King!

. . . Because, we are invited to come and spend some time with the most Famous Person of all time: The King of glory who honestly wants to know how we are doing.
