Foundation Laid

I have been in a ton of pain today. That’s not the point of this post, though. When we find ourselves up against a physical, emotional, or even a spiritual wall, where do our thoughts and hearts wander toward?

How can we bless God rather than curse Him in these crucial moments?

While all of my thoughts weren’t as grace inviting, one thing I kept thinking about was an old song. Early in my adult years, I went to church with my grandparents. It was just them and myself, family wise at this little church in our neighborhood.

Those two or so years laid the foundation for taking my family’s Christian faith and making it my own. Especially as I made the choice to go to church each week.

“There’s Just Something About That Name” was a song from those critical years, and was utilized today in effort to offer praise to our Mighty God in a very painful time.

Below you can find the song I mention and a bit of the lyrics by Bill and Gloria Gaither.

/// Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; there’s just something about that name. ///

/// Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain; ///

/// Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all Heaven and earth proclaim ///

/// Kings and kingdoms will all pass away ///

/// But there’s something about that name ///

/// Kings and kingdoms will all pass away ///

/// But there’s something about that name ///
