Today is our final day of week 2 for our Ephesians study. For me, this study is going by really fast. I am a bit further along than the rest of you – in our Ephesians study. Yet, it still blows my mind how fast the study is going by.
… Not only that, how much I am getting out of the study – is equally mind-blowing.
Today, I invite YOU (yes, you) to join me – as we study Ephesians 2:1-3:3 (fixating on our “focus” verse for the week – which is…. *drum roll* Ephesians 2:13!).
If you have a journal, go ahead and open it. Scoure through your pages for week 2. I have a few questions for you, in particular –
What has God taught you this week?
Was there one truth that stood out more than the rest?
How are you still seeking to wrap your mind around everything God is teaching you, through this study?
were to ask you, what would be your top three spiritual truths you have learned this week? Here are mine. ((( Please, please, share with me in the comments section below!)))
- (Day 8) Truth #1 ~ the passions I still (honesty, here!) struggle with, are a part of my old self. I have freedom from them, in Christ! While we may struggle, we don’t live there anymore! (see Ephesians 2:1-3)
“When Jesus redeemed us, He disarmed the devil. This is why I can refuse to follow the passions and desires of my evil sin nature.” This was a big #freedom moment for me!
- (Day 10) Truth #2 ~ God is all powerful. God is planning out (and has already planned) good things for us – His children to do. He is protecting us.
“He is protecting and walking with me.”
I never again have to walk through life alone. Again, powerful!
- (Day 14) Truth #3 ~ God wants us to know our place in His Kingdom! The Apostle Paul was firm and confident in knowing his place – his ministry. I want that, for my life! This God-confidence of knowing my place where soul satisfaction and my God-given calling truimphs everything else in my life.
Now, it is your turn!
What are the top three things God taught you this week, through our study in Ephesians?
This week, we tried to set our sights on the truth found in Ephesians 2:13. In this passage, we learn that we are united with Jesus Christ. As we exit week 2, we can see this passage come to life in many ways. We can see how God has intentionally united us to Himself through the blood, death, and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
How is it changing our lives, knowing we are now united to God through Christ?
This is the place that breathes life into a lifeless soul. We were once far away from God, but now have been brought near to Him – because God loves you and I soo much! We ought to allow ourselves to walk in this love and unity all the more, as we continue our study (& lives)!
